A Spiritual Community Grounded in Science and Reason

The Community of the Cosmic Divine was founded in the year 2000 by people from all walks of life who shared a common longing: to reclaim spirituality without dogma. We were seekers who felt disenchanted with the cynicism often found in atheist and agnostic circles, yet could not, in good conscience, pretend to believe in the literal stories told by organized religions.

Guided by the Ten Principles articulated by a former monk, we found our spiritual home in shared curiosity, reverence for life, and a sense of wonder before the vast mystery of existence. In our early years, the Community existed as loosely connected discussion groups scattered across various online platforms, linking like-minded souls around the globe.

In 2025, we launched our official website — a new chapter in our journey to expand the Community and offer spiritual and moral guidance in an era marked by both disillusionment and renewed curiosity.

We hold that scientific inquiry is sacred work: every discovery brings us one step closer to understanding the awe-inspiring cosmic force that gave rise to all living things.

We honor all religious traditions as sacred attempts to grasp the same universal truth — each a reflection of humanity’s enduring desire to understand the mysteries of creation. No one is asked to renounce or reject their faith to join us; spiritual journeys can move in parallel, converging in mutual respect and shared wonder.

Our philosophy draws inspiration from the great spiritual and philosophical traditions of the world — from the meditative wisdom of the East to the humanistic inquiries of the West, from indigenous reverence for nature to modern explorations of consciousness and science. We see ourselves as heirs to the entire human search for meaning, not bound to any single doctrine or culture, but connected to all of them.

As part of our belief in the sanctity of the natural human form, the Community embraces a clothing-optional ethos. Nudity, in this context, is understood not as provocation, but as a symbol of honesty, equality, and freedom from shame. Participation is always a matter of personal comfort — never obligation. The body is seen as a vessel of life and beauty, worthy of respect and acceptance in its natural state.
